Saints sign Milwaukee native Karrisa Baber

Moberly, Mo.

Central Christian College of the Bible head women's basketball coach Reggie Chapple on Tuesday announced the signing of Karrisa Baber for the 2017-18 season. Baber is the fourth member of the Saints' 2017 class.

Baber, a 5-3 combo guard, is a 2017 graduate of Pius XI High School in Milwaukee, Wis. A three-year letterman for the Popes, she came off the bench with an average of five points, four assists and three steals per game this past season.

Pius XI finished 15-9 in 2016-17 with a Woodland Conference championship. As a sophomore, Baber was part of a Pius XI team that went a perfect 27-0 and won a Division 2 state title.

"Karrisa will fit well within our program," Chapple said. "With this opportunity she has to play at this level, I am sure she will work hard to become a contributor to our program. She will add much-needed depth to the guard position. I am looking forward to working with her as she joins the Saints family."

While at CCCB, Baber plans to pursue a Bachelor of Religious Studies and a dual enrollment degree from a partner institution.

Baber joins Hunter Salmons of Madison, Mo., Damia Covington of Hayti, Mo., and Crystal Eureste of Brownsville, Texas, as members of the Saints' 2017 recruiting class.

Rowland becomes latest addition for Women's Basketball

Moberly, Mo.

Central Christian College of the Bible head women's basketball coach Reggie Chapple on Wednesday announced the signing of Richlan Rowland for the 2017-18 season. Rowland is the fifth member of the Saints' 2017 class.

Rowland, a 5-6 guard, is a 2017 graduate of eStem High School in Little Rock, Ark. A two-year letterman, Rowland became a starter as a junior and helped the Mets to a 30-8 record that included a trip to the Class 4A state semifinals. Prior to her senior year, Rowland suffered a season-ending injury that kept her out of action for the 2016-17 season.

"Adding Richlan to the program will be a very good thing for us as we grow," Chapple said. "She is a combo guard who has played several positions in the past. She will bring much needed depth to the guard position, and her versatility on the court and her strong work ethic is a great combination which will go a long way in our program. I am excited to coach her this fall and thankful she is coming to Central."

While at CCCB, Rowland plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling.

Rowland joins Hunter Salmons of Madison, Mo., Damia Covington of Hayti, Mo., Crystal Eureste of Brownsville, Texas, and Karrisa Baber of Milwaukee, Wis., as members of the Saints' 2017 recruiting class.
