Junior guard Alexis Whisenand was named Women's Basketball Division II Student-Athlete of the Week by the National Christian College Athletic Association for her performances during the past weekend.

The Higbee, Mo., native averaged a double-double of 20 points and 12.5 rebounds per game as the Saints went 1-1 on the week. Whisenand had 24 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Faith Baptist Bible College, followed by 16 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to Emmaus Bible College.

The Saints just wrapped up the regular season with an overall record of 7-15 and 3-9 in the Midwest Christian College Conference for fifth place. They host the MCCC Tournament which begins Thursday at 10 a.m. in Moberly.
