Skylar Beck becomes Saints' first addition for 2018-19

Moberly, Mo.

Central Christian College of the Bible head women's basketball coach Katelynn Frazier on Tuesday announced the signing of Skylar Beck for the 2018-19 season.

Beck, a 5-7 shooting guard, will graduate in May from Truman High School in Independence, Mo. The two-sport athlete, who also competes in track and field, excelled on the AAU circuit heading into her senior year of high school where she averaged 12 points per game.

"I am excited about adding Skylar to our team and school," Frazier said. "She will contribute versatility and quickness at the shooting guard spot. She has a drive to be excellent and possesses amazing character. I believe she will achieve great success both as a player and as a person while here at Central."

While at CCCB, Beck plans to pursue a Bachelor of Religious Studies and a dual enrollment degree from a partner institution.

Beck is the first member of the Saints' 2018 class.
