Transfer guard Crawford signs with Saints

Moberly, Mo.

Central Christian College of the Bible head men's basketball coach Jack Defreitas on Monday announced the signing of Josh Crawford for the 2017-18 season. Crawford is the seventh member of the Saints' 2017 class.

Crawford, a 5-10 guard from St. Louis, Mo., will transfer to Central Christian after a playing a season at Missouri Baptist University. He is a 2015 graduate of Parkway Central High School in St. Louis.

At Missouri Baptist, Crawford averaged double figures in points at the junior varsity level. The two-year letterman at Parkway Central was part of a Colts program that won 35 games during his two seasons at the varsity level.

"I'm excited to add Josh to our program," Defreitas said. "He is very positive with a great attitude, and is another guy who was part of a solid high school basketball program. He will work hard and will certainly add depth to our lineup."

While at CCCB, Crawford plans to pursue a Bachelor of Religious Studies and a dual enrollment degree from a partner institution.

Crawford joins Jacob Case of McComb, Ohio, Micah Miller of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Alex Gibler of Madison, Mo., Kedron Rollings of Hayti, Mo., Wayne Alsberry of Stephens City, Va., and Roy Patterson of McComb, Miss., as members of the Saints' 2017 recruiting class.
