Montgomery County standout Chris Harrison signs with Saints

Moberly, Mo.

Central Christian College of the Bible head men's basketball coach Jack Defreitas on Friday announced the signing of Chris Harrison for the 2019-20 season.

Harrison, a 6-2 guard, is a 2018 graduate of Montgomery County High School in Montgomery City, Mo. He signed with Quincy University, an NCAA Division II program, as a senior and redshirted during the 2018-19 season.

At Montgomery County, Harrison averaged 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game as a senior, helping the Wildcats to a 21-6 record and a Class 3 District 7 title game appearance in 2018. During Harris' junior year, Montgomery County finished 27-3 and advanced to the Class 3 quarterfinals.

Harris was a three-year letterman for the Wildcats, and a two-time all-conference and all-district selection.

"Chris is a great addition for us that fits in really well with what we do," Defreitas said. "He's very athletic and his skill set fits in with our uptempo style. Off the court, Chris is someone that possesses outstanding character. We are excited to add him to our program and see the impact that he will have."

While at CCCB, Harrison plans to pursue an Associate of Professional Studies while also earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from one of CCCB's partner institutions, Hope International University..
